Microsoft halts production of Xbox One consoles to focus on Xbox Series X|S

It seems that Microsoft's suffering in producing the Xbox Series X|S in the required numbers caused the end of the previous generation before it was too late, as the company stopped the production of Xbox One devices and may not return to production again.

Sony and Microsoft have been struggling for two years in producing the required numbers of gaming devices for the new generation of games due to the scarcity of production of chips and semiconductors, but at the same time they continued to produce copies of the old generation as usual to be available to users looking for less expensive or simple options, but this matter It seems to have expired for Microsoft a year ago.

Microsoft wants from this step to focus more on producing the new Xbox Series X|S, especially with the great demand from users for it, and therefore it will allow it to use some of the semiconductors and hardware possible in the Xbox One supposed to be made in the new devices, enabling it to produce more of them to users.

This step is what we see Sony also taking, as the Japanese company is working on producing old PlayStation 4 devices while it is developing PlayStation 5 devices. But it is possible that the scarcity of semiconductors in the market will motivate it to stop producing the old generation and take advantage of the possibilities  Available to focus on the new generation, especially since it has not been able to keep up with the demand for its devices since its launch in 2020.
